Description
FRM3 module (Footwell Module) is used on:
BMW E81, E82, E84, E87, E89, E90, E91, E92, E93, E70, E71, E72 series and Mini R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60, R61 series
FRM has three connectors:
- Two 51-pin connectors connect the main wiring harness.
- Another 26-pin connector is for the connection to the dashboard.
FRM, Footwell Module is responsible for:
- Headlight
- Tail lights
- Fog lights
- Front courtesy lighting
- Rear courtesy lighting
- Number-plate light
- Power windows
- Exterior mirrors
- 2 stepper motor controllers aka adaptive headlight stepper motors
- 2 belt feeder controllers
Problem:
It can fail when jumpstarting, low battery, when coding/programming, or even when reading codes with dealer equipment.
Symptoms of failed Footwell Module are:
- Light switches do not work
- Windows are not go up or down
- Few lights like parking lights are constantly on
- Turn lights do not work

You will need to send me your FRM3 module, I will repair it and send back. Can also be done in person location: Chicago, IL
Turnaround for mailed FRM usually is same day, unless mailman delivers package late.

Keep in mind that BMW has a SIB012016 covering FRM3 failures,
Initially it was 8 Years/125K miles
In 08.2018 they updated it to 10 Years/156K Miles
