BMW ECU/DME OBDII Unlock (including Toyota Supra MKV)

PRODUCT INFORMATION

The Bosch ECU/DME installed the latest generation of F-Series and G-Series BMW models are locked from the factory to prevent tuning modifications via the OBDII port. This typically effects most models with BMW software after March-2019 (M140i, M340i, M2 Competition, M3, M4, M5, M8, etc).

To enable OBDII tuning capabilities the DME/ECU needs to be reprogrammed with a new patch that allows OBDII tuning/reprogramming. This one time patch is completely safe and does not alter the factory performance of the vehicle.

NOTE – New ECUs from Bosch with the updated BLTD with Manufacture/Build Dates of 6/2020 and newer are currently not unlockable. This goes by the ECU build date, not the vehicle build date. ECU build can be found on the ECU label itself. *****

How it works

You will need to send me the engine computer, I do Bench Unlock, without opening, thru regular connectors and send it back. If you are local to Chicago, IL DME Bench Unlock can be done on the car, without removing the DME. As most of my services, it is the same-day turnaround

Mail In Service

This will require you to remove the ECU/DME from your car and send it to me for patching. The cost to send the ECU/DME to me is not included in your purchase.

In House Service (Chicago)

Once you have purchased the OBD unlock, I will be in touch with you to arrange a suitable time to have you booked in to have the unlock performed. The cost is fully inclusive of all labor required to gain access to your ECU/DME and perform the OBD unlock. This could take up to a 1-2 hours to do depending on the model. 

WHAT IF MY DME/ECU IS RE-LOCKED?

Our DME/ECU OBDII unlock also comes with a lifetime guarantee. Should your ECU/DME be re-locked through BMW programming in the future, we will unlock it for you free of charge (excluding any shipping or labor costs). This is only available for the original owner/purchaser.
